Artist Statement


In my work, I use natural found materials, like driftwood, to craft sculptural objects, allowing their inherent beauty and authenticity to be visible. This approach emphasizes the importance of preserving their natural state while creating a relationship between the viewer and the object. It encourages a more thoughtful and personal interaction.

As an artist, I avoid claiming sole credit for my creations. Instead, I acknowledge the profound influence of the objects themselves and deeply respect their intrinsic qualities. This humble approach allows me to honor the interconnectedness of all things,
recognizing the vital role each element plays in shaping our collective narrative.

There exists a profound dialogue between natural objects and the spiritual realm. Rather than asserting my dominance over nature, I collaborate with my materials, allowing them to maintain their inherent character. Through the interplay of steel, silver, and wood, I emphasize the harmony between the artist and the organic world. My works highlight this symbiotic relationship, revealing the mystical and thought-provoking aspects of creations.

I craft suspended apparatuses and museum-like support structures to exhibit these objects, transforming them into discovered relics that naturally fit within a museum setting. Through this approach, I aspire to encourage contemplation regarding the vastness of human history and the profound impact our actions have on shaping the future.
